Irish County Plaids
What is the difference between a palid and a tartain? Geographics. In Scotland, the woven pattern that is associated with a clan is called a tartan. In Ireland, the woven pattern isn't assocated with a name; but a region (county), and is called a plaid.
Although you may find an a occasional Scottish tartan in the shop, what you will find is a beautiful sellection of Irish County Plaids in caps, scarves, and ties.
