A special note from Cristy:
Every year we get a few calls asking if we have shamrocks, or know someone who does, so that they can replace the typical flower girl's rose petal toss. Although it seems like a cute idea, the truth is that shamrocks are very small and very fragile. They are much like the clovers we find outside in our yards, with a leaf spread of only about 2cm.
In the past, I've suggested finding a shamrock punch of a good size and punching out sturdy green paper or vellum, then creasing them along the petals to give them dimention.
If you really want to have an Irish flower toss, you might check out the Irish Wild Flowers web site. Go to www.irishwildflowers.ie and check with your florist to see if any are attainable for your wedding. Best of luck!
